I made an offer to one of my mates who is a farmer. The offer is that I go through and totally strip one of his old abandoned farmhouses for copper, aluminum, stainless steel and sort it. Basically I do all the hard work for him and sell the scrap I find and then we split the profits 50/50.

Scrapping Old House For 50% Share of Profits – Part 1
I made an offer to one of my mates who is a farmer. The offer is that I go through and totally strip one of his old abandoned farmhouses for copper, aluminum, stainless steel and sort it. Basically I do all the hard work for him and sell the scrap I find and then we split the profits 50/50.
This also includes items in the house I can sell on ebay for him.
If you want to do the same, why not ask one of the local farmers in your area. I have another farm house lined up after this job.
Hoping to make a few grand out this house.

I decided to do a bit of a tuturial on scrapping tvs, a simple job, but a job which can give you some easy cash.
On the video, I say the the vacuum tube has poisonous gases in it, and I am wrong about that, sorry.
But if you do break the tube, you’ll still notice tiny floating fragements of glass or something rising from the broken tube, so be careful.

HOW TO SCRAP A TV TO GET THE COPPER
Posted by Billy on October 7, 2011 · Leave a Comment
Times are pretty tough world wide at the moment due to the current financial crisis, and the continuing depression…. and it looks like the year 2012 will be just as bad unfortunately.
Besides Metal Detecting, I do loads of scrap metal collecting, and it has truly been a lifesaver for me.
Over the last couple of years, my business partner Natalie and I have been running a small rural business, a Post Office / Newsagency / Garden Nursery / Small Cafe in my hometown.
Things have been really hard financially for us, and I never realised how hard small business would be.
Around a year ago I started collecting scrap metal from local rubbish dumps… scrap metal such as Aluminum (not cans) but door / window frames, old cooking pots, cast aluminum from motors, copper wire, electrical cords, stainless steel sinks, and anything else that can be turned into easy cash.
The only scrap I collect is Aluminum, Brass, Copper and Stainless Steel … that is where the good money is.
Over the last year I have made close to $10,000 from scrap metal recycling, and all of this money has gone towards my mortgage repayments, bills, daily cost of living and all other things.
So if you are battling, need to get some money, get off your ass and get scrapping!
It is not easy work, it is hard, dirty and even hazardous!
