My Darling Dog Georgies Final Farewell – Her Special Gift – An Ancient Chinese Coin

My Darling Dog Georgies Final Farewell – Her Special Gift – An Ancient Chinese Coin

Today Georgie was laid to rest underneath a beautiful Casuarine Tree, at the 100 year old Dumbleyung Rubbish Dump, where Georgie, Banjo, Cindy and I have spent the last 5 years bottle digging, metal detecting and relic hunting.

The Old Dumbleyung Tip dates back to 1910, this place is my retreat where I go, to get away from civilisation, to reflect, to meditate, to think and a million more reasons.

This old dump was likely last used in the 1960’s

This place, although an old rubbish dump, is to me one of the most beautiful and peaceful places in my district, the sound of birds, the sound of frogs, the sound of wind blowing through the Casuarina Trees as if singing a haunting song, one of the most peaceful place I know of.

A Place full of beautiful memories that Georgie, Banjo, Cindy and I frequent almost daily.

Georgie is now, finally at peace, and one day, Banjo, Cindy, Sophie and I will be reunited, so we can walk a thousand more miles together an share all of those beautiful memories again.

Today was a Heartbreaking day, Georgie died in my arms today, in my truck on the way taking her to Lake Dumbleyung for her last trip with me and her beautiful brother and sisters Banjo, Georgie and Fyfe.

Being with Georgie My Beautiful Faithful & Best Friend in Her Last Hours on Earth

Little Georgie My Beautiful Old Dog Dying In My Arms

This is Very Very Emotional and if your an animal lover, it could likely make you cry… I have never cried like this before in my life, not even when my beautiful best friend and beautiful father Jack, passed away aged 82 around 4 years ago.

The tears I released today, also most likely were all of the turmoil which has built up in me over the last 6 years as well.

Right now, Georgie is lying by my-side peacefully on her sheep skin rug, she’ll be with me in her little bed tonight and tomorrow I will say my final goodbye to her.

Here is yesterdays video on Georgie

Friendship, Love & Loss – Megan Washington (Even When I’m Sleeping)

I have no kids, Georgie is like my own little child, I named Georgie “Georgie” because it was a favourite name for a little girl I hoped to have one day… knowing that it most likely would never happen… she is my little girl.

When I found Georgie, she was neglected, sick, mistreated and so scared… today was a awful day for me… I am unsure how long Georgie has left, but no matter what, I will comfort and love her as much as I can in her final days.

I am unsure how old Georgie was, a vet said around 15 years old… she has had a beautiful life with me and brought me so much happiness in my life and has replaced the pain in my my soul and heart with her beautiful love, her companionship and her faithfulness in me being her master.

I never went anywhere with georgie, she went on every single adventure with me, she was there for me through thick ad thin, through bad times and good times.

I have decided to bury Georgie under a Casuarina Tree out the local 100 Year Old Rubbish Dump, where we both spent many years hunting for treasure… I will also do the same for banjo and Cindy and also my new dog Fyfe, if I decide to keep him.

This is the Casuarina Tree here I have decided to bury Georgie

This is also the tree where last year I filmed baby Willie Wagtail Babies being born all the way to flying and leaving their nest… see here all episodes:

And maybe one day when I die, my ashes will be spread on their graves as well.

Today I went out to Lake Dumbleyung with Georgie and my dogs and collected some beautiful river stones to go onto her grave site, and it will be a special place where me, Banjo and Cindy can go when things are tough for me, to sit by her side, have a cup of tea, a beer and reflect on memories and the future.

When I found Georgie, she was neglected, sick, mistreated and so scared… today was a awful day for me… but I am so glad I was with her when she died in my arms, close to my heart as she drifted off to anther world.

And a video I dedicated to her beautiful companionship and faithfulness to me.
