With a bit of help from a local historian, I was pointed in the right direction and I found that the owner of the 10th Light Horse Badge knew Breaker Morant, served with him in the Boar War, the owner also served in Gallipoli and won a Military Cross, follow me on this emotional journey.
There is nothing better than when your metal detecting and you find something from the War era, whether it be from World War One or World War Two.
The other day I was metal detecting at an old dumping site in the bush only a kilometre away from my hometown in Dumbleyung, Western Australia.
It was an area were me and my mates grew up play in the bush, exploring and just having fun!
Old rubbish dumping sites are always a great place to go metal detecting, because people would accidently throw out coins, jewellery and other relics, and your bound to find things of value and of interest.
This is my second Anzac Badge that I have found with my minelab metal detector
Here is a video I made of me finding a beautiful old anzac badge from the World War 2 Era.
