Garrett AT Gold Meteorite Detecting – New Meteorite Find and My Other Older Meteorites Finds

Australia’s Bullshit Meteorite Laws – No Finders Keepers Allowed… is total bullshit, these laws only promote the selling of Meteorites on the Black Market and also the illegal smuggling of Australian Found Meteorites overseas.

The WA Museum has 50,000 Meteorites archived away for know one to see and appreciate, I guarantee you that the Museum would onsell these for profit, meteorites found by people who have handed them in to the government.

There is no way in the world I would ever hand in my meteorites to the government, because they would profit from it, onsell fragments for research and so forth.

New Lake Eyre Meteorite Found Probably Faked, Planted and Put There by Scientists

I have found approximately 8 Meteorites in my area, and the government aint gonna touch them.

As I say, just one of my meteorites could help me in my future.

The Western Australian Government offers no reward or incentive to people who find meteorites, it is total bullshit and it really disgusts me that I am not allowed to sell my Meteorites that I have found.

Are meteorites protected?
Federal laws protect meteorites found in Australia and it is an offence to export one without a permit. In Western Australia and South Australia legislation means that meteorites are the property of the Government and must be lodged with an appropriate Museum. In other States, the finder is able to keep a meteorite.

Meteorites found in Western Australia are held under a statutory obligation laid down in Section 45 of the Museum Act (1969 as amended in 1973), whereby meteorites from Western Australia belong to the State, and ownership is vested in the Trustees of the Western Australian Museum.

UPDATE:
Dear Bill
I’ve looked at all the photographs. It took me a while.
Unfortunately, none looks like a meteorite. There some iron-stone concretions. These can be magnetic. Some can contain the magnetic iron oxide maghemite which can form in the weathering profile by the percolation of iron-rich fluids. Other samples look like silcrete, another weathering product of silica rich rocks. There are also some terrestrial igneous rocks. It is possible that a few are aboriginal artifacts
